Vickie V Sweater

The reviews said this jumper comes up large so I ordered a small instead of my usual medium. Far too small! Thankfully the coral colour is still in stock so I have requested an exchange to a medium. On a positive note, the merino wool isn't itchy which is wonderful as I usually avoid all wood clothes.

I 've always liked the look of the Vickie V, and now that it was on sale, I could try one! Having read customer reviews that the latest version comes up large, I sized down to XS, hoping that the sleeves would still be long enough. They are, and it fits perfectly. I think Oatmeal is a stylish neutral for Springs, which goes really well over SRNs in bright colours. The wool is soft and warm and this sweater is a pleasure to wear. I wish I had ordered one in Aqua Green while size XS was still in stock.

My two previous Vickie Vs (coded 222) were perfect for me after looking for years (as earlier reviewed) so I saw the sale and ordered a third. Sadly I'm returning it. It's coded 224 and is 1.5" longer in the body and 1.5" longer in the sleeves, which are also wider at the cuff. I'm thankful to have found the first two but disappointed the dimensions have now changed, though I'm sure the newer version will suit other, less petite customers who missed out last time.

I loved the Oatmeal colour of this sweater. I was thinking it was a V-necked version of the Minna (I have 3) but it was a bit longer, the V neck was too deep and the sleeves baggy - at least 1" wider from the top of the arm to elbow. Sadly another return - I hate having to return items especially when I've spent so long checking everything.

This is a beautiful quality sweater and a lovely weight for winter without look chunky. I wear size M and L in Kettlewell tops depending on fabric and size M is perfect in this merino as well as the finer merino of the Elle cardigan. I'm an Autumn but the Ivory White suits me better than the Oatmeal. Soft White is 'my' white if that helps.
