Selena Skirt

Not worn yet but looks good when trying on.

I took a gamble on this with the sale price and bought a periwinkle one as I love the colour. It's very light weight but also very swishy which is great. The waistband is not a flat elastic but a slightly ruched one which I find a bit old fashioned and not very attrtactive but with a belt over the top, it's not visible. it's also less stretchy than the flat ones so there is less give over the hips to get it on. As a result of the waistband elastic it does tend to bunch out over the hips - as I have small hips this gives me a nice shape but for those who are more curvy on the hips, this may not be what you are looking for. I've found it surprisingly cool in the hot weather and have ended up ordering another one at the good value sale price

A lovely, swishy skirt, - quite long on me (5ft 6), but very adaptable - great with a blouse or t shirt and denim jacket. I wouldn't have paid full price for it, but at sale price, it's perfect. Colour worked well for me, will pair with white, navy or mint.

I absolutely love this skirt. I bought all 3 winter colours, and if the ivy green had been pine green or even an Au/Su teal green, I would have bought that too. Love the fabric and the way it falls, and like that it's not lined. A wonderful maxi summer skirt.

I'm very sorry to leave a negative review but I am very disappointed with this skirt for a several reasons. First is that the colour is not suitable for springs , at least not for a bright spring. It's great for summers. I find it frustrating when colours are labeled for two or three seasons, the whole point when shopping here is to get my colour , not a crossover which might but most likely will not work. It looks like wanting to target more customers but it's not helpful at all. The second reason is the length , I'm 5'5 and this is definitely not a maxi skirt , it ends at an awkward place. The lady and the most important issue is that the elastic at the waist is not actually elastic. I bought a size M ( I'm a UK size 10-12) and I could hardly pull it over my hips , but yet it's massive around the waist. The skirt itself doesn't really have all the gathering the way it is featured , it's a very straight cut
